Job Description

Luminary Group is looking for an exceptional Head of Biostatistics with strong leadership skills and expertise in the healthcare industry. As the Head of Biostatistics, you will lead a team of talented biostatisticians and play a key role in providing statistical expertise and guidance for the analysis and interpretation of real-world evidence (RWE) data.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of biostatisticians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement statistical strategies and methodologies for analyzing complex RWE datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand study objectives and design appropriate statistical analyses.
  • Perform statistical analyses, including descriptive, inferential, and predictive modeling, on real-world data.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and compliance of statistical analyses and results.
  • Develop and maintain statistical software and tools for efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Communicate statistical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in biostatistics and real-world evidence.
  • Provide statistical expertise and support in regulatory interactions and submissions.
  • Contribute to the development and review of study protocols and statistical analysis plans.

Requirements

  • PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in biostatistics, with a focus on real-world evidence (RWE) and the healthcare industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of leading a biostatistics team.
  • Expertise in statistical methodologies and modeling techniques, including survival analysis, regression, and Bayesian methods.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software, such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Experience with real-world data sources and healthcare databases.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines related to biostatistics in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide innovative statistical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals and active participation in relevant scientific communities is desirable.
