Head of Data

Lacework is seeking a visionary Head of Data to orchestrate our data strategy and lead our high-performing teams in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering. This critical role is central to our mission, providing strategic leadership in data management and analytics, driving data-driven decision-making across the company, and ensuring our data practices set new industry standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive data strategy that aligns with our company’s vision and objectives.
  • Lead and expand our Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering teams, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced data models and algorithms to enhance our cybersecurity solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and sales, to leverage data insights for business growth and customer success.
  • Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data while complying with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee the management of our data architecture, optimizing data flows and storage for scalability and efficiency.
  • Champion a culture of data literacy and analytics across the organization, providing guidance and insights to enhance decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Implement cutting-edge tools and technologies to advance our data capabilities, keeping abreast of the latest trends in data science and cybersecurity.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, mentoring and developing team members while attracting top talent in the data field.
  • Establish robust data governance and quality frameworks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data insights.

 

We’re Excited About You Because…

  • You have 10+ years of experience in data management, including significant leadership roles in data engineering, data science, or analytics.
  • You possess a deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry and its unique data challenges and opportunities.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing data strategies that drive business growth and innovation.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing data teams.
  • Expertise in modern data technologies and architectures, with the ability to adapt and innovate in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset, ensuring that data initiatives enhance user experience and value.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
