What’s the role?

Are you a forward-thinking data strategist eager to lead the charge in shaping the future of analytics within a dynamic, multipurpose Business Services environment? We are in search of a results-driven individual for the role of Head of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence North America to propel ZEISS Business Services North America to new horizons. In this position, you will spearhead the integration of predictive analytics, accelerate the development of analytics capabilities, and provide invaluable insights.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Leadership in Predictive Analytics:

  • Take the lead in integrating predictive analytics for proactive decision-making.

  • Accelerate the development of analytics capabilities across ZEISS Businesses.

Consultancy:

  • Build positive relationships across Business Services and the Business.

  • Establish KPIs and data usage policies, ensuring privacy legislation adherence.

  • Act as a consultant to critically examine strategic issues and priorities.

Practical Business Knowledge:

  • Adapt practical insights to impact operational and strategic choices.

  • Leverage cross-functional data in Business Services and the Business for thorough analysis.

  • Utilize integrated data to deliver insights across HR, Finance, IT, Procurement, Facilities, Communications, and more.

Data Analysis and Reporting, Transparency in Operations:

  • Provide robust reporting systems for operational transparency in service delivery.

  • Use strategic analytics to enhance decision-making.

Strategic Analytics for Business Services North America:

  • Integrate data from various departments to provide intelligent analytics for strategic decision-making.

  • Develop reporting dashboards for Advancement with metrics and business outcome monitoring.

Data Warehousing & Infrastructure Development:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure.

  • Develop data models and definitions.

  • Ensure the team acquires and maintains knowledge of best practices and tools for data analysis.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business, data science, or a related discipline.

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in data/statistical methods, applications, research, and analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience in predictive analytics and advancing analytics skills.

  • Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, SQL) and data analytics tools.

  • Familiarity with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong proficiency in multivariant and cross-functional data analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Critical thinking skills and a natural curiosity.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable with predictive and descriptive analyses.

  • Knowledge of statistics, visual analytics, and modeling.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

  • Hybrid work schedule – 3 days in the office/2 days remote.
