By leveraging a deep understanding of health system IT operational best practices supported by data, Guidehouse propels IT operational improvement and technology adoption across departments and service lines at client organizations. What You Will Do: The Integration Architect will lead end-to-end integration architecture, design governance, and delivery execution for Oracle Health Cerner Millennium (clinical) and Oracle Health revenue cycle (RevElate) hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

This role ensures a stable, secure, and scalable interoperability layer across clinical, revenue, ancillary, device, identity, and external partner systems. The architect drives standards-based exchange (HL7 v2, FHIR/SMART, APIs) and reliable operations from design through go-live and steady state, serving as the primary technical integration contact and escalation point across workstreams. Key Responsibilities: Integration Architecture & Strategy Define integration strategy spanning Millennium, RevElate, and surrounding ecosystem (PM/ADT, orders/results, scheduling, billing/claims, eligibility, remits, patient portal, HIE/public health). Own integration reference architecture (patterns, standards, canonical models, error handling, retries, idempotency, throughput, observability).

Establish design governance: interface intake, prioritization, design reviews, and change control. Interface & API Design / Build Oversight Lead design and oversee build for: HL7 v2 messaging (ADT, ORM/ORU, DFT, SIU, MDM, VXU) FHIR / SMART on FHIR integrations and REST-based interoperability APIs (REST/SOAP), file-based exchange (SFTP), and event-driven patterns Direct or configure integration tooling (Cerner Open Engine, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint, Mirth/NextGen Connect).

Coordinate device and clinical connectivity patterns (e. g. , CareAware).

Revenue Cycle Integration (RevElate) Architect integrations supporting end-to-end revenue workflows: registration, charge capture, coding, billing/claims, clearinghouse, payer responses, payment posting, denials/AR workflows, reporting extracts. Align clinical-to-financial touchpoints and resolve workflow-driven interface requirements. OCI / Cloud & Environment Coordination Partner with OCI and hosting teams to meet networking, security, identity, and performance requirements (VPN, subnets, firewalls, certificates, secrets management).

Define environment promotion and configuration management (DEV/TEST/UAT/PREPROD/PROD). Testing, Cutover, Go-Live, Hypercare Own integration test strategy (unit, integration, end-to-end, negative, performance).

Lead readiness for cutover and go-live, including command-center support and stabilization. Operations & Reliability Establish monitoring, alerting, error queues, reconciliation, and SLA/SLO targets. Serve as escalation point for high-severity integration issues; drive root cause analysis and preventative controls.

Stakeholder & Program Leadership Act as primary integration advisor to client leaders and cross-functional teams. Coordinate with application leads to ensure interfaces support real workflows. What You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree 8+ years of healthcare integration experience, including large-scale EHR programs; 3+ years hands-on with Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium preferred.

Expertise in interoperability standards: HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, OAuth Experience with interface engines (Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint, Mirth) and resilient routing/transformation patterns. Proven delivery leadership across requirements, design, build, testing, and go-live.

Strong understanding of HIPAA and enterprise integration governance. What Would Be Nice To Have: Oracle Health-specific build skills (Discern Explorer / CCL). Revenue cycle domain depth (patient accounting, claims, payer integration).
