Your Role and Responsibilities
- The IBM Z AIOps team is seeking an experienced zSystems Developer/Architect Lead to provide technical implementation and leadership as we develop an advanced approach to IT operations.
- As a backend developer, you will be part of a highly focused, self-managed team that designs, develops
- and tests solutions that reside on and integrate with IBM systems mainframes.
- The Z AIOps solutions collect availability and performance log and metric data from the z/OS operating systems and subsystems, then stream the data to endpoints for analysis, where anomalies from normal operations are
identified and alerts are generated.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in all phases of software development including architecture, design, coding, unit testing and functional testing.
- Hands on Experience in Machine Learning and Deep learning algorithms.
- Hands on Experience in Generative AI & BigData Analytics.
- End to End AI/ML Implementation of Large Scale projects.
- Experience with development on Z (assembler, Java, C++ in that order) and debugging tools.
- Mainframe Domain knowledge: z/OS plus some levels of subsystem experience such as Db2,
- CICS, MQ, SMF/RMF and/or IMS.
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery concepts and skills.
- Test automation concepts and skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with PL/X, C, shell
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Experience with Python development.
- Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka
