Work you’ll do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our systems.
  • Lead initiatives to foster innovation within the maintenance and enhancements domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and the internet of things to assess their potential impact on our systems.
  • Evaluate new tools and methodologies that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and enhancement activities.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the maintenance and enhancements framework.
  • Implement best practices to ensure the highest quality in maintenance and enhancement deliverables
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and align maintenance and enhancement initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project objectives.

The GPS Human Services Transformation offering designs and implements large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies as well as higher education institutions. With end-users, customers, and workers at the center, we collaborate with our clients to deliver quality human services and work to support individuals in need. Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in leading maintenance and enhancements teams, preferably in an onshore setting. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.
  • Strong background in innovation and implementing creative solutions within the technology domain (AWS-must have, Azure and GCP good to have, Microservices, Java, Python, Nodejs and React ).
  • In-depth knowledge of current technologies and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.

Certifications:

  • AWS Solution Architect Professional

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Innovation Manager
  • Certified Innovation Leader
  • AWS Machine Learning Specialty

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
