Job Description:
The Computer Science and Engineering department is looking to hire an Instructor to teach undergraduate computer science courses in core computer science areas, engage students in project-based learning courses, and serve on committees related to undergraduate matters.
Job Responsibilities
70% Develop curriculum for the 3 introductory courses: Introduction to Computer Science, Introduction to Python and Introduction to Cybersecurity. Teach undergraduate computer science courses.
10% Oversee the efficient operation of dual enrollment courses and provide ongoing support to high school teachers involved in the program.
10% Asses and build an evaluation strategy for the dual enrollment courses.
10% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or degree in related field with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
Design and implementing curriculum and lessons in programming languages such as Python, Javascript or related. Experienced in developing and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning modes. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
Cisco, COMPTIA or Python Certifications a plus.
