Job Description
Integrity Science Engineer Responsibilities:
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, and data mining to identify trends and opportunities to drive down online inauthentic behaviors on Meta’s products
- Analyze and interpret large scale data in order to devise hypotheses on how adversarial behaviors are proliferating and to understand key anomalous patterns of these malicious actors
- Lead in-depth technical investigations from start-to-finish and effectively communicate actionable results to different audience types
- Develop and implement new countermeasures to stop abuse, including leveraging and building statistical/machine learning models and rule-based approaches
- Work closely with related teams to identify novel sources of abusive behavior and take action to stop this abuse
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Math/Finance, Physics, Applied Economics, Statistics or other technical field
- Experience investigating and acting on high-impact threats and online threat actors
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience making data-backed decisions that influence the team and organization
- Experience distilling complex and technical information to be shared with many different audience backgrounds
- Experience coding in at least one of the following: PHP, Python, Haskell, or Java
- 5+ years experience doing quantitative analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience prioritizing and executing with minimal direction or oversight
- Experience working across the broader integrity/security/Trust & Safety community
- Experience in adversarial space like fraud and spam
- Proven track record of managing and executing on short term and long term projects
- Familiarity with cross-platform integrity threats
- Demonstrated understanding of security and integrity risks, and how they apply to Facebook and its users

$143,000/year to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
