Job Description

As a Data Engineer Intern at Micron Technology Inc., you will join the Technology Solutions group within the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization! The Data Engineering team works closely with Micron’s business functions (Domain expert, Data Scientist…etc.) in all aspects of semiconductor data. This role will work primarily with Big Data technologies like Cloud data warehouse using Google Cloud Platform and Snowflake, using ETL skills to build data lake, data warehouse, data mart, and APIs, as well as data monitoring and data governance. You will work on data engineering features that support business projects and collaboration with internal Micron team members.

• Build the concept of how Big Data works in Semiconductor companies.
• Establish Data Engineering Concepts

Content/Project of internship

• (10%) Realize Micron Culture and Big Data Team related jobs.
• (30%) Finish the required technical training for assigned development tasks.
• (30%) Based on the business needs to finish at least one data engineering requirement.
• (30%) Completed the final report and presentation. 

Requirement

• Big Data Engineering and Processing
• Develop ETL/ELT data processing pipelines.
• Strong background on SQL and databases.
• Programming Skills in Python or Scala.
• Data Analysis and Validation skills.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud products and services for data engineering, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.
• Ability to design, build, and deploy scalable and reliable data pipelines using Google Cloud tools and best practices.
• Experience with TensorFlow, a popular framework for machine learning and deep learning on Google Cloud
• Understanding of data security and privacy on Google Cloud, such as encryption, IAM, VPC, and audit logs
• Familiarity with Google Cloud certification exam guide and sample questions for data engineer
