About the Internship Program:
Over the course of 10 weeks, a select group of college and university students will join us, gaining valuable work experiences and insights into our most exciting products. Interns engage with Wizards’ beloved brands, gaining meaningful work-experience through day-to-day training, hands-on projects, executive exposure, individual development planning and mentorship. Did I mention we have a Dragon? Let’s add your unlimited imagination and boundless curiosity our party.

When you analyze data, do you see the story behind the numbers? I’m talking about your superpower for synthesizing consumer, game, and industry data to build compelling insights that enable forward-thinking, strategic decisions.
If so, we should talk!
We’re looking for someone with an interest in a digital gaming / entertainment field, who has a strong analytics skillset and is passionate about deriving meaningful insights and visualizations from business, product, and consumer data.
What You’ll Do:

Support the standardization of all proprietary and secondary data formats, and for crafting, automating, and distributing dashboards and reports to drive consistent access to self-service insights

Contribute to the design of standardized reporting by leveraging business knowledge, technical, and analytical skills. Collaborating with business, product, and engineering leaders across the Magic the Gathering Team.

Contribute to helping strengthen the Magic the Gathering Digital Innovation Team’s understanding of their product effectiveness and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring:

Currently pursuing a MBA/Graduate Degree with at least one quarter or semester left after August 2024.

BA/BS or equivalent experience required, preferably with a concentration in a quantitative subject area, computer science, analytics, or related coursework.

Available to work full-time hours for 10 weeks in person at our Renton, WA office location.

Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience with SQL, R, Python, and/or SPSS

Strong problem definition / solution skills, non-stop intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning

Ability to communicate complex ideas in an efficient and compelling way

Deep practical understanding of digital products and/or the gaming industry.

Knowledge of Snowflake and Tableau
