Who will you be joining?
Group Actuarial provides optimal support of management decisions and deliver transparent and relevant information for the market and the regulators.Group Actuarial strives to be a best practice finance function, trusted and recognized for its competence and excellence; we are the Guardians of Allianz SE’s financial resources and performance and shareholder value.
We are seeking an intern to join us at the Allianz Group headquarter in the Actuarial Non-Life team to support the team in developing tools for the optimization of reserve review process and top management deliveries.
How can you make an impact?
- Support quarterly closing reporting deliveries to top management
- Drive the development of internal machine learning algorithms in collaboration with the data scientist, aiming at enhancing reserve review processes
- Contribute to automatize internal processes to improve efficiency and governance
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Actuarial Studies, with strong academic performance
- Knowledge and passion in programming (Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), R or Python)
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- A proactive attitude and curiosity to learn, with a desire to challenge the status quo
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- Demonstrated passion for gender equity and diversity initiatives

- Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

- Experience in project coordination or management is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work on a variety of tasks
