Job Summary:The IT Product Manager is responsible for the management of a product, system, or process lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution within the information technology department. Job Duties:Defines product strategy and builds product roadmapsTranslates product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teamsResponsible for launching new product features and experiences – investigating to define the problem, draft detailed requirements/user stories, plan development sprints, build and implement user testing plans, and support continuous releasesBuilds strong relationships with Business Line leaders and executive stakeholdersBuilds and maintains constructive working relationships with project team members, vendors, and other departments Oversees all aspects of assigned IT projects, and takes ownership for ensuring their successPlans and directs the work effort involved with the implementation or upgrade of systemsDevelops scope documents, statements of work, and other documentation supporting the justification for new projectsWorks closely with third-party vendors to ensure that project efforts are controlled and completed on a timely basisLeads and directs the work of project teams to ensure project efforts are controlled and completed on a timely basisWorks with appropriate subject matter experts, establish resource plans, expected level of effort and duration to complete tasksReviews and understands or prepares, as needed, business requirements and objectives documentation in support of overall business needsCoordinates with appropriate resources to ensure that product communications and training materials are made available as appropriateWorks with operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to production and ongoing support phases of a products lifecycleWorks with vendors and stakeholder to understand product subscription, contract terms, and renewal cycles to best manage fiscal budget Other duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:High school diploma or GED, required Bachelor’s degree, preferredExperience:Six (6) or more years IT experience, requiredExperience as a Product Manager, IT Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Software Systems Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Technology Support Analyst, or Software Developer, requiredExperience using a standard project management methodology, requiredExperience with scrum and other agile development methods, preferredExperience leading and directing the work of others in a project-oriented capacity, preferredExperience with the concepts of Project Programs and Portfolios, preferredFamiliar with a web-based applications environment, preferredFamiliar with relational database concepts, preferredPrevious experience working in a professional services firm, preferredLicense/Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification, preferredPMI Agile Certified Practitioner or similar certification, preferredSoftware:Experience with project planning applications, preferredExperience managing projects in connection with any of the following, preferred: Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Enterprise Services Automation, Onestream, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, preferredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skillsAbility to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and in a self-directed capacityA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedStrong team-building skillsDemonstrated problem solving skillsAbility to effectively organize and delegate complex tasksAbility to develop project plans and accomplish goals based on experience, educated assumptions, and limited informationAbility to adapt rapidly to new developmentsFamiliarity with project ROI techniques (cost/benefit, NPV, IRR, Earned Value metrics)Ability to facilitate meetings efficiently and effectivelyAbility to develop project documentation using diagrams and proseAbility to develop project plans and related documentation using diagrams and prose based on customer collaborationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
