About the roleÂ
As a Junior Analytics Engineer you would help us to make better data-driven decisions in order to lead our daily operations and strategic initiatives with more accurate data. We are looking for a person who is early in the career path but has some experience in data integrations/modelling. The key characteristics we are looking for in this role are willingness to grow and learn and ability to solve problems. This role is technology-oriented but you would work closely with the other members of the business controlling/analytics team and business stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for data and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in a scale-up company.
Our tech stack consists currently of Azure SQL database, dbt, Fivetran, and Stitch for ETL, and Microsoft Power BI for end user reporting. We have built data integration to multiple business applications like Netsuite, Hubspot, etc. Junior Analytics Engineer reports to the Head of Business Control. 🚀
Your key responsibilities include:

Work with business stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure data availability and quality

Maintain existing data integrations and setting up new ones

Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines and models

Help in cleaning, transforming, and organizing raw data from various sources

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of data

Document processes and workflows to support scalability and maintainability

Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data engineering and analytics

Develop new PowerBI reports

Ad hoc data analysis
What will help you to be successful in this role?
Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. A timeline of your career progression should look like this:

During the first 3 months you’ll get familiar with our system landscape and current processes and be able to support in maintenance of current BI solution

After the first 6 months you shall be able to do some small scale development and debugging supported
-
After 12 months you shall be able to run small development projects without much support
Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities
Required:
-
Applicable education (e.g. M. Sc. in Information Management) – you can be a person that has recently graduated or is very soon to graduate

Some experience in data management/modelling (SQL and building data pipelines) and interest to learn more and grow

Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
-
Analytical mindset

Hands-on mentality

Good command of both written and spoken English and good communication skills
Beneficial:

Experience in working with dbt and DAX

Basic knowledge of Azure services

Experience in working with ERP and CRM solutions

Python skills
