Job Description

With size comes complexity, and our Logistics Schedulers play a key role in ensuring that parcels are delivered both timely and efficiently. You will learn logistics from one of the world leaders in this field and will have the flexibility to design your own career path.

This position involves working in a rotating three-shift system, which may include Saturdays, night shifts and on-call duty.

Key job responsibilities
• Leverage large amounts of data to drive actions in coordination with multiple teams (Supply Chain, Distribution Centers, Ground Transportation)
• Execute projects/initiatives which improve our customers’ experience by ensuring timely delivery.
• Drive root cause analysis and provide actionable insights in order to keep improving our day-to-day operations.

A day in the life
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

As a Logistics Scheduler you will work across the EU in a cross-functional environment with the Supply Chain, Distribution Centers, and Ground Transportation teams, in order to support our day-to-day operations to ensure the timely delivery of Heavy/Bulky shipments to our customers.

About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

Basic Qualifications

– Relevant experience in an analytical tasks or projects, working with data
– Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English (C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)
– Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

– Relevant experience in communicating with senior stakeholders and leadership
– Experience in assessing operating processes and outcomes quantitatively and qualitatively
– Previous experience within transportation or logistics
