We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Insight Analyst with a strong curiosity about the FMCG or Tech & Durables markets. You will excel at identifying trends and patterns to provide actionable insights, working with data to understand market dynamics. 

 In this role, you will offer data-driven support to both global and local clients, collaborating with internal NIQ teams to help achieve strategic business goals. Your contributions will be key to our international team’s success in delivering impactful solutions

  • Project Execution: You will assist in executing projects by extracting and compiling data, analyzing trends, and interpreting sales and consumer information. You will also create visualizations and build comprehensive presentations. 

  • Data Summarization: You will summarize data using tables, charts, and graphs, ensuring accuracy by reviewing deliverables for errors and inconsistencies. 

  • Report Drafting: You will draft reports and presentations that vary in complexity, incorporating detailed data interpretation to support client and internal needs. 

  • Report Management: You will set up and refresh regular reports, ensuring timely delivery of relevant information. 

  • Best Practices: You will actively seek out and share best practice examples and opportunities for optimization and automation, implementing these approaches in your work where applicable. 

  • Client Meeting Preparation: You will support other team members in preparing for client meetings and presentations, ensuring all materials are well-organized and impactful. 

Qualifications

  • Student or graduate (Bachelor/Master) of Marketing, Economics or related field 

  • 0-2 years of industry experience​ 

  • Required: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, vlookup, conditional functions, conditional formatting, chart building, and formatting), PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides​  

  • Required: Fluent communication in English – verbal and written (at least C1 level) 

  • Required: Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural setting 

  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Demonstrates the ability to extract pertinent information from datasets, cultivates strategic partnerships to enhance information sources, conducts proactive client check-ins for ongoing updates, and utilizes probing questions to clarify unclear requests effectively. 

  • Required: Analytical skills: Involve answering complex questions clearly and succinctly in user-friendly language, emphasizing the “why” through cohesive and customer-centric storytelling, particularly evident in Category Overviews. 

  • Managing processes: Involves understanding value-add activities for stakeholders, adapting to optimization processes, delivering timely and high-quality services, providing accurate and prompt responses, and effectively managing time and priorities. 

  • Digital Savvy 

  • Retail & FMCG industry knowledge: Is an expert on a particular client/category/industry. Follows related market trends and relevant industry happenings. Explores potential market opportunities for clients.​
