Overview

The Data Analyst is a full-time position that supports the Data Operations Team at ISS STOXX Market Intelligence. Data Operations is responsible for collection, management, and data production inclusive of ad-hoc data projects supporting Research Analysts.   Type of data includes mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), compensation, annuities, insurance, etc.

Ideal candidates will have a high level of independent judgment, an incredible attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment both in a team setting and autonomously. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a position that is going to be challenging, demand high performance, but will give them hands-on experience working with data and financial analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data based on established methodologies, comply with established work process and performance standards to ensure timely and high-quality data

  • Validate, clean and input sourced data into ISS internal systems and database tools

  • Create high quality reports and other deliverables for internal research teams

  • Participate in data quality assurance efforts, including performing root-cause analysis for identified data quality issues

  • Support relevant process improvement and technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables

  • Help maintain documentation of work processes and institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database

  • Special projects as assigned

  • Repetitive data entry

Qualifications:

 Training & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or any related fields.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with particular focus on Excel & Powerpoint

  • Computer savvy and possesses the ability to learn new technology concepts.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment.

  • Ability to adapt to performing various and changing tasks throughout the workday.

  • Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:

  • Work experience relevant to Data Operations and the financial services industry

  • Familiarity with financial terms

  • SPSS software experience

Work Location & Schedule:

  • Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent dayshift schedule (9am – 6pm, Manila Time).

  • Amenable to go onsite full week for 3 months (11am – 8pm) prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement.

  • Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days’ work onsite per week)
