Job Description

We’re looking for curious analysts interested in being considered for a Data Analyst role in the Advanced Analytics team and who are buzzing to solve impactful questions for exciting products in the online dating industry and beyond.
In this role, you’ll support our stakeholders with data and insights related to a variety of business areas. You’ll be involved in experimentation design and planning, visualisations, trend diagnostics, dashboarding and much, much more.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll have access to the most diverse, varied and complex data sets in the technology world right now (10’s of billions of data points per day!!)
  • You’ll be doing all the typical day-to-day tasks such as generating practical insights from the data, manipulating complex datasets, and helping us understand how to improve and optimise our member’s experience to facilitate the creation of meaningful, equitable and healthy relationships
  • Unlock your potential by upskilling in statistics, Python and other essential tools, empowering you to expand your skill set and excel in your career.
  • You will help uncover tactical and strategic insights and support experimentation across all areas of the product development lifecycle. You will use SQL and data visualisation skills to translate technical problems into actionable recommendations for product managers. 
  • You will make contributions to the data model and contribute to building out data pipelines
  • You’ll collaborate closely with several potential teams including Product Managers, strategists, analytics managers, and analytics engineers PLUS, you’ll be building detailed, entrepreneurial and business-minded insights that directly contribute to the successful growth of Bumble Inc.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Foundational coding experience (e.g. SQL. Python, R, Matlab, SAS, Java)
  • Experience with data visualisation
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Internships, coursework, or projects involving data analysis or business intelligence are a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in data analysis and business insights.
