Junior Data Engineer

Are you passionate about data and eager to learn the ropes of building and maintaining data pipelines? Ceribell is looking for a motivated and curious Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an integral part in designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines that transform raw data into usable insights for our organization. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure a smooth flow of data throughout our systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and data engineering tools.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources including databases, APIs, and external data providers.
  • Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Design and implement data models to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Troubleshoot and debug data pipeline issues.
  • Collaborate with the BI team and analysts to understand their data needs.
  • Document data pipelines and processes for future reference.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering.

We’re Excited If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of experience with programming languages like Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with Java and stored database procedures and/or APEX for salesforce.com.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce.com, Tableau).

Salary Range:

$100-$120K commensurate with experience
