Salary: Up to £28,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

About You: 

Joining a Fintech you will be excited to work in a fast paced environment where there is on-going change. As a Junior Engineer-Data you are curious with an analytical mindset, passionate about learning your craft, pragmatic when it comes to problem solving and technology, keen to help us build our product and keep levelling up our culture, and have excellent attention to detail.

We work in multi-disciplinary teams and strong communication and teamwork is essential.

Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Exposure to at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript)
  • Analytical skills
  • Problem Solving

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with database structures and concepts.

Day to Day

Meetings

  • Various meetings relating to the delivery of solutions for customer data migrations.  

 

Continuous Learning

  • Asking relevant questions , involving in discussions with your team, peers to understand the  product, process and technology stacks
  • Retaining the knowledge and know how to apply in similar situations

 Delivery:

  • You will be working as part of a data migrations team 
  • Analysis of data extracts provided by customers.   
  • Active participation and attention to detail in migration planning and execution
  • Developing scripts to enable data transformation, allowing customer data to be uploaded onto our core platforms.
  • You make constant progress and able to articulate what help needed 
  • Understand the requirements you have been asked to deliver

Collaboration

  • Communicating with developers, Business analyst/Product owners , other team members to discuss the issues, clarifying the requirements and providing the feedback where  necessary.
