Job Description

About Linklaters

Linklaters are a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias, because we want everyone to feel that they belong. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common mind-set.

We recognise that one size does not fit all. Our goal is to embed flexibility across our firm by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further.

The Role

Laila is Linklaters’ GenAI chatbot and the first of several GenAI products on the roadmap. As we push deeper into a development and growth phase, we are looking for a dedicated product manager for Laila.

Key Dimensions:

You will work with the GenAI team to design and implement the roadmap for Laila, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s wider AI Strategy and roadmap.

Putting our users first, we expect you to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of product managers, engineers, designers, as well as lawyers, to take each roadmap feature from concept to launch, breaking down user journeys into requirements, epics and tickets, and tracking product development all the way through to testing, release and ongoing improvement based on user feedback.

You are an integral part of a team focussed on delivering continued functionality, adoption and use of Laila.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial product manager with a proven track record of designing and delivering technology solutions with tangible customer and business outcomes.

You are the “Pioneer” archetype and thrive in the early stages of product development: identifying what opportunities to pursue and figuring out how to make a product that really works for its users.

  • Legal tech geek – awareness of the trends, players & products that define the legal tech market
  • Solution mindset – An ability to think through client needs, commercial requirements and incorporate end-user feedback
  • User is king – ability to design & then run end-user feedback sessions to inform our prioritisation of delivery and roadmap direction
  • Curiosity & innovation – a natural curiosity to explore and generate product ideas, solutions and innovation
  • Never settle – humility and constant reflection to ensure our product & offering is constantly improving
  • Good design eye – Solid UI/UX instincts and an eye for visual design
  • Strong analytical and communication skills – willingness to learn and quickly evolve within a fast-paced challenging environment. Take ownership of projects and drive outcomes with minimal supervision, asking for help when needed
  • Eager presenter – keen to present own ideas to the internal team / assigned client contacts with energy & passion

About You

We expect our Product Managers to possess a broad base of skills and knowledge spanning digital technology, strategy and business planning, user experience design, engineering and agile development practices.
