Job Description

Advanced Customer Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Oversee the analysis of customer information, including account and contact details, utilizing advanced statistical methods to derive insights that inform business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight actionable insights based on customer research.
  • Ensure that reporting initiatives are directly linked to business needs and stakeholder requirements, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor potential merger and acquisition targets to assess customer data, market position, and synergies with the company’s existing operations
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts on advanced data analysis techniques and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and automation, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.

Data Quality Monitoring:

  • Ensure the integrity and quality of customer data used for analysis, implementing best practices in data management and governance.
  • Identify data quality issues and lead efforts to resolve discrepancies and enhance data reliability.
  • Resolve data conflicts from source systems escalating issues when needed.
  • Design and monitor account and contact data quality metrics, establishing benchmarks for data integrity.
  • Implement processes for monitoring and improving data quality across internal and external data sources.
  • Guide the team in tracking data quality KPIs and ensuring adherence to data quality standards.

Data Automation and System Integration:

  • Lead efforts in automating data processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data management.
  • Oversee the integration of various data systems to ensure seamless data flow between internal and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement data integration solutions that support business objectives.
  • Ensure proper documentation of data workflows, processes, and reporting mechanisms within the team.

Customer Data Enrichment:

  • Assist the team in leveraging external data sources (e.g., D&B, Fortune 500, FDIC, NCUA) to enrich customer records and validate internal data.
  • Evaluate and recommend external data sources that can enhance customer information and support business objectives.
  • Support the planning and execution of projects related to customer data management, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

Business Partner Engagement and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to understand their research needs and align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Engage business partners regularly to gather feedback and refine reporting requirements, ensuring deliverables meet expectations and business objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for data-related inquiries, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support organizational goals.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders, translating complex data insights into actionable strategies.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management, with a focus on customer data.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced data analysis, particularly in customer research, linking business needs with reporting solutions, and utilizing statistical methods to derive insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar, with an emphasis on advanced analytical techniques.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce (SFDC), and data integration platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various functional groups within the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use good judgment.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile framework & processes, JIRA
  • Advanced data visualization and reporting skills, with experience creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Experience with data automation tools and processes to enhance data workflows.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with external data sources like D&B, Fortune 500, FDIC, NCUA, and others.
  • Understanding of data quality metrics and methodologies.
  • Basic project management skills or experience.
  • Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role is a plus.
