Lead Business Intelligence Developer
Salary – £40,000 – £60,000
Join us as a pivotal member of the Personal Lines BI Team within the UK General Insurance (UKGI) Data & Analytics function, dedicated to serving our Personal Lines business. We empower informed decisions with quality, timely Management Information (MI) using powerful business intelligence software.
A bit about the job:
As a Lead Developer, you’ll play a central role in crafting the future of our PL business, from requirement gathering to deployment, ensuring detailed data extraction, transformation, visualization, and beyond. Balancing the needs of both input providers and consumers, you’ll proactively engage with business partners, while providing mentorship to junior developers and inputting to initiatives that will define our future success.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Proficiency in building intuitive, informative, and efficient self-service BI solutions using Qlik Sense/QlikView or similar platforms, grounded in industry knowledge and standard methodologies.

Experience in script writing with SQL or similar, coupled with practical expertise in database design and ETL processing is essential.

Good communication skills, adept at collaborating with business users to define problems and craft tailored solutions, while building and influencing business partner relationships.

Ability to distil sophisticated information into concise insights for both internal and external audiences.

Proven capability in leading multi-functional teams, encouraging collaboration to achieve positive outcomes.

Starting salary £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary – Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
