Job Description

As a Lead Data Analyst at MANUAL, you will be responsible for owning a data domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, design analytical solutions, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic direction. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

You’ll own key business metrics, using them to challenge stakeholders and drive the business forward.

We leverage the modern data stack. Allowing the team to be as efficient and impactful as possible. You’ll work with industry-leading tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Looker, and Mixpanel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of Analysts and Analytics engineers. Identify opportunities, and set priorities, whilst getting involved with the output yourself.

  • Domain Ownership: Lead and manage a business domain. You’ll think deeply about the problems facing your area. Helping the teams maximise a patient’s time on the platform. Challenging stakeholders on metrics, and performance.

  • Data Exploration: Dive into vast datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that positively impact our business.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including marketing, finance, operations, and product, to identify and prioritise analytical needs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience

  • You have advanced knowledge in SQL, a scripting language (e.g. python)

  • Strong working knowledge of tools like dbt, or Dataform

  • Ability to build meaningful stakeholder relationships with cross-functional colleagues

  • Ownership mindset, with a strong bias for action.

  • Proven understanding of approaches to measurement, data analysis, and statistics

  • Use one or more analytics tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
