Lead Data Engineer

Lead Data EngineerWe are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer, or an IT Manager who can oversee IT infrastructure and has experience with analytics and warehousing. This position will only require you onsite two days a month depending on the schedule. The right candidate will ideally have 3-5+ years of leadership experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Power BI and data visualization.

Job Duties

• Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
• Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
• Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
• Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
• Strategic Leadership: Assist in the development and execution of the company’s IT strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Hands-On Expertise: Be a hands-on leader, actively participating in technical projects and providing guidance to the IT team.
• Project Management: Allocate resources effectively to meet project and operational needs.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (5+ years) in IT leadership roles, with a track record of successful project management and team management.
• Hands-on technical expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud database management, reporting tools, data warehousing, and analytics.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data warehousing technologies.
