Imagine automating the real-time sensor data from our fleet and supporting on NOx reduction for sustainability reporting. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to our operations by utilizing your skills in data movement and creating data insights. You will have the opportunity to work with cloud technology platforms like Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Our Data Analytics team supports multiple business units, empowering their craftsmanship and specialization. Besides our core business, we also support our secondary processes and departments, including finance, procurement, HR, and more.
Your responsibilities as a lead data engineer
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Act as the deputy to the Domain Architect for Data and BI, assisting in architectural decision-making and representing the domain architect when needed.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers.
- Insure the quality, integrity, and security of data across the organization.
- Optimize and improve existing data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as lead data engineer if you have:
- At least 7 years’ relevant work experience as a data engineer.
- Strong understanding of various business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure Databricks, Python/Pyspark, SQL and Azure Data Factory.
- Data warehousing experience, Kimball data & generic data modelling.
- Experience on the Azure Data platform.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

- Your team: You will be part of the Data Analytics and Integration team. This team focuses on Data Management, Data Analytics, Integration, and Automation. The team consists of 27 colleagues such as Architects, a Contract Manager, Data Engineers, Product Owners, Developers, and a Manager.
- Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
- Full/part-time job: The position of lead data engineer is a full-time job (40 hours a week).
