Team/Role Overview

The Data Analyst / Project Manager for the Data Team plays a critical role in aligning business objectives with data-driven solutions. This position is responsible for gathering and analysing requirements, managing project execution, and ensuring that data initiatives meet stakeholder needs. The individual will collaborate closely with technical teams and business units to facilitate communication, optimize processes, and deliver actionable insights. By leveraging data analysis and project management skills, this role contributes to enhancing organizational efficiency and driving strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator and problem-solver, adept at navigating complex data environments and fostering collaboration across teams.

What you’ll do

For the position of Lead Data Insight Analyst we are looking for a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Our new colleague will get recognized technical authority for an area within the business, so basic commercial awareness required.

  • Support with project planning, execution, and monitoring for data-related initiatives
  • Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to schedules
  • Support with analysis of data sets to derive insights and support decision-making processes
  • Work with data engineers and scientists to ensure data integrity and quality throughout projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating communication between technical teams and business units
  • Create and present reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to communicate findings and project status
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiencies within data workflows. Implement best practices in data management and project execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed requirements

What we’ll need from you

  • Significant years of experience working as a Data Analyst
  • Proven track record of working with multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers and technologists
  • Demonstrated history of being able to acquire data, manage it, and present it for use in support of Data Insights, reporting and statistics.
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Demonstrated competency in building a compelling narrative based on complex data and analytics that help tell your story and influence and inform a particular audience
  • Demonstrated Data Analyst and process engineering skillset in Master and Reference data domains in financial / banking industry 
  • Strong understanding of various project management methodologies and tools (AGILE, Waterfall)
  • Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in the use of JIRA with SCRUM
