We are currently seeking a Lead Data Scientist who will be responsible for play a vital role in leveraging data to enhance our supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Data analysis: Lead in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within the supply chain data, offering valuable insights to drive business impact and make strategic recommendations.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and reliability, as well as scalability and automation of analysis.
  • Model development: inventory, network and transportation optimization models, predictive analysis, time series forecasting, simulation models.
  • Coordinate: Guide business intelligence analysts, junior scientists, and engineers to produce intuitive and informative visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay up to date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and technologies, and propose their application by building business cases.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • Bachelor’s with 9 years of experience or Master’s with 7 years of experience or Ph.D with 4 years of experience in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a data scientist and project/people leader managing resources, delivering projects and demonstrating excellent communication, teamwork and mentoring skills.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Scala), ETL (SQL, Informatica) and data platforms (Snowflake, Fabric, Oracle)
  • Strong expertise in supervised and unsupervised machine learning and in using data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn etc.).
  • Experience leading in an Agile environment (Jira, Azure DevOps, Kanban…)
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, materials, inventory management, supply and demand planning or manufacturing.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (MS Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark/Databricks
