Job Description

The Senior Data Scientist will lead data-driven initiatives to solve complex business problems through advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to mentor junior data scientists and collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address key business challenges.
  • Drive end-to-end data science projects, from problem definition through data exploration, model building, deployment, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Develop and maintain scalable data science solutions to optimize business processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical support and ensuring best practices in data science methodologies.
  • Communicate insights, recommendations, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and integrate relevant technologies and methodologies into the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and ethical standards in all data science initiatives

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling and other AI techniques.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience in mentoring or leading data science teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with deep learning, natural language processing, generative AI, or computer vision.
  • Familiarity with deploying models in production environments and MLOps practices.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ethical considerations in AI

Education:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) at production level. 
  • 6+ years of experience in data science or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Scala, with experience in data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Langchain).
  • Proficient in SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets. Experience in NoSQL is a plus.
