MISSION:
To accelerate the Group’s AI transformation, the AI Division is seeking senior data scientists to work on prototyping and building AI solutions in close collaboration with business units and IT teams. The AI division is dedicated to accelerating the development of AI models and applications within CMA CGM, iterating closely with the business and accompany the entire IT development. The role requires a combination of strong technical skills, analytical capabilities, and communication skills.
Passionate about driving AI innovation, the candidate possesses a strong technical foundation, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The position involves:
- Lead the AI projects, suggesting strategic solutions, and presenting findings to executive members and business sponsors, while overseeing data scientists to ensure successful delivery.
- Engage in the AI transformation within the business, aiming to generate tangible and demonstrable value for the Group.
- Accelerate projects by delivering models, data processing pipelines, analyses, or problem modeling.
- Contribute to R&D efforts in AI, particularly within the scope of our partnerships such as Kyutai and Mistral.
- Provide advice to business units and IT teams on AI; actively participate in the training and adoption of AI within the Group.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience: 2-8 years as a data scientist or similar role.
- Education: Degree from a top engineering school, university, BAC+5, or PhD; specialization in mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
- Skills: Strong skills in mathematical modeling and problem-solving, with extensive knowledge in statistics, machine learning and deep learning; NLP is a plus. Autonomy and adaptability; ability to synthesize and communicate effectively.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, with additional expertise in model deployment (Airflow, Gitlab, Docker) and/or deep learning (pyTorch, cuda).
