ZestFinance, Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist in Burbank, CA.
Duties: Leading the design, development, deployment, and support of technical solutions. Actively prioritizes, iterates, and communicates new and enhanced processes to accelerate business outcomes, reduce manual effort, and/or reduce key business risks. Directly responsible for the quality, relating to performance, robustness, and overall behavior of technical solutions. Own the technical aspects of a data science project from end-to-end and directs effort where necessary to ensure overall soundness. Building internal/external communications content that meets expectations and requires minimal rework. Focusing on mentorship of direct reports and willingly acting as a resource within and outside the team. Communicate with all levels and groups within organization. Easily recognize critical aspects of work and adept at conveying meaning broadly within Zest and does so proactively. Offer alternative perspectives and techniques where necessary to achieve this goal. Regularly provide and solicit feedback to all levels and groups at Zest. Identify and manage high leverage opportunities for modeling work.·Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Design and implement highly generalizable models for predicting various outcomes.
Requires a Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field(s) plus 3 years of experience in a related occupation(s).
Requires 3 years of experience with translating unstructured business problems into well-defined machine learning projects.
Requires 3 years of extensive programming experience in R or Python and an interest in learning new languages and technologies.
Requires 3 years of experience in the knowledge of data structures and parallelization.
Requires 3 years of experience with Ad-hoc analysis of data.
Requires 2 years of expert experience designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models/algorithms.
Telecommuting is permitted.
