Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a quick learner, and has strong coding capabilities to add to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the latest applications of data science to solve business problems in the Manufacturing team of the Retail and CPG space.
  • Effectively communicate the analytics approach and how it will meet and address objectives to business partners.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 5-6 members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Analytics, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
  • Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.
  • Support demands from regulators, investor relations, etc., to develop innovative solutions to meet objectives utilizing cutting-edge techniques and tools.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of strong hands-on work experience – Smart Manufacturing Experience
  • Should be able to lead domain conversations on a solution consulting angle 
  • Should be fluent with Spanish Language.
  • Know typical data sets available and make recommendations by performing EDA upfront and suggesting strategies around overall Data Wrangling and cleanup 
  • Familiar with Manufacturing KPIs, Monitoring & Optimization
  • Understands Data Systems – Manufacturing Control Tower, Manufacturing Systems around Global Shop Floor Tools, MES, historian, SAP etc. – E2E operations visibility, collaboration/ communication, reporting/dashboarding. advanced analytics
  • Skilled in creating product roadmaps, setting priorities, and executing strategic plans.
  • Proven experience managing a team and leading product initiatives.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills, with experience in pricing strategies and optimization.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions.
  • Experience in Azure environments and Databricks is a plus
  • Bias for action, with the ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization and time management.
  • Be proactive, curious, can-do attitude, flexible personality
