We are recruiting for a lead machine learning to join our team. The team is based in Norwich and London.
A bit about the job:
We are excited to be looking for an outstanding data scientist to help us scale the impact of machine learning across Aviva. The role sits in our high-profile machine learning team where our mission is to drive better predictive modelling decisions, faster. In the role you’ll:
- Driving Innovation: use your research skills to creatively solve the most impactful business problems with the appropriate tools and technology.
- Deploying solutions: use your experience in delivering machine learning systems to ensure that new insights are turned into real business value.
- Leveraging your expertise: as a lead data scientist you’ll support, train and collaborate with both the wider data science team and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Numeracy e.g. degree level or higher in a scientific discipline such as Maths/Computer Science.
- Data Science fundamentals e.g. data prep, feature engineering, model validation, etc.
- Machine Learning e.g. expertise in a specific area of ML algorithms/technology.
- Programming e.g. fluency in Python/R, with the ability to build best practice ML pipelines.
- R&D e.g. identified, proposed, and delivered an impactful machine learning project.

- Salary Circa £60,000 National / Circa £70,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
