Job Description
The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics at Purdue University Northwest invites applications for a full-time non-tenured Lecturer of Computer Information Technology position starting in Fall 2024.
Responsibilities include
- teaching and developing undergraduate hands-on courses in various areas of information technology, including programming, database, web/mobile/server application development, artificial intelligence
- mentoring and advising students on club activities, competitions, and applied research
- performing continuous improvements following the ABET assessment process
- Involving Participating in outreach activities to promote our program
- Interaction with regional businesses and/or recent real-world experiences.
A master’s degree in computer information technology or a related field is required. The degree must be earned by August 12, 2024.
The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics offers 3 Baccalaureate degree programs: B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology, B.S. in Computer Information Technology, and B.S. in Cybersecurity. The Department provides an excellent teaching and learning environment equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software. The Department has 10 full-time faculty members with an enrollment of about 300 undergraduate students and 70+ graduate students.
