Job Description

Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at JPMorgan Corporate Investment Bank combines cutting edge machine learning techniques with the company’s unique data assets to optimize all the business decisions we make. 

As a Machine Learning Engineer in Wholesale Payments, you will be engaged to design, implement and deploy high quality solutions for the complex business problems we face at JPMorgan. We need your help in productionizing image classification, natural language processing and other state of the art approaches to deliver commercially impactful solutions to the businesses we support. You will be called upon to draw from your software engineering experience to help us implement intelligent and practical algorithms. You will have a deep understanding of the design patterns, Python programming and cloud infrastructure and will be at the center of building and deploying mission-critical solutions.

Job responsibilities 

  • Learning about and understanding our supported businesses in order to drive practical and successful solutions
  • Implementing AI/ML services and deploying them to the cloud
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines to facilitate ML training
  • Refactoring code and writing tests to maintain sufficient code quality metrics
  • Applying ML techniques, such as data/text mining, document analysis, image/text classification, image processing and OCR
  • Analyzing and evaluating the ongoing performance of developed models

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with Python
  • 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Strong object-oriented programming and concurrency skills
  • Strong interest in AI/ML
