Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔
As our Machine Learning Engineer you’ll make a direct impact helping our clients understand better the market research space and gain valuable consumer insights, through modeling and analysis of survey data.
You will also help us shape and realise our Data science Strategy by contributing to the development of our data platform – which ingests and augments consumer survey data that represent the views of nearly 3 billion consumers from around the world.
You will report to the Research ML Team Lead, as well as working closely with the rest of the Machine Learning team, Custom Research, Data and Engineering teams both on fixed-term client projects as well as on long-term initiatives aligned with GWI’s data products.

What do I need to bring with me? 🧳
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don’t have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:
👉 Coding proficiency in Python or R
👉 Working knowledge of machine learning software stack for data wrangling and modeling (Pandas, Scikit Learn)
👉 Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics
👉 Ability to work closely with Market Research Specialists to deliver modelled datasets for our Clients. To this end, be able to communicate complex concepts and be comfortable speaking about your craft to an audience
👉 Value all feedback and are always eager to learn.
👉 Promote a culture of automation, transparency, and accountability.
It would also be of great benefit to have an understanding of the market research space including:
👉 Survey design and data modelling of audiences based on attitudes and resultant behaviours.
👉 Much of our work is involved with creating new Segmentations or integrating new data into existing Segmentations. Any direct experience in this area would be ideal.
