Role: ML Engineer

 

Location: Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18 (Hybrid)

 

The Role:

The Analytics function within the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence are responsible for leading and driving value from AIB’s data, leveraging a diverse and advanced analytics toolset, to deliver business benefit and inform decision making across the group.  We comprise of a diverse mix of skills, from Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Reporting Analysts and Advanced Analytics Specialists, supporting and enabling internal and external stakeholders.

 

The Advanced Analytics function supports all areas across the business who are passionate about developing innovative and sustainable AI and Machine Learning products that deliver measurably high value for the business, and better and fairer outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities

 

We are seeking a talented ML Engineer to join our team, focused on the deployment and management of machine learning models in production environment. An advocate of  MLOPs with expertise in SAS Viya, Teradata, Python and Cloud technologies you will work closely with our colleagues across technology on enhancing the tooling and capability of an end-to-end model delivery team including the integration of ModelOps, DevOps and DataOps principles.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across technology to implement MLOps, scalable and reliable infrastructure and embed capabilities across the team
  • Integrate ModelOps, DevOps and DataOps practices to enhance tooling and capabilities.
  • Work with SAS Viya and Teradata for advanced analytics and data management.
  • Optimise models for performance and scalability
  • Develop automated pipelines for model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring
  • Develop and deploy alerting for early issue detection and resolution
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching
  • Oversee the ML delivery lifecycle, from development to production and monitoring.
  • Engage with external vendors for the procurement of tools, technologies, and services.
  • Evaluate and integrate external vendor solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor advancements in Machine Learning technology and recommend improvements to existing processes

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in MLOps, ModelOps, DevOps or DataOps.
  • Strong proficiency in SAS Viya, Teradata, and Python programming.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services.
  • Deep understanding of the machine learning delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Deep understanding of financial data security and privacy regulation
