Job DescriptionThis OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Management Consultancy Intern – Summer 2026 for our Advisory & Planning Business Line to work out of any of the following offices: Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Washington, DC, and San Francisco, CA. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 202 Be involved in projects with our Advisory & Planning team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.

The Management Consultant Intern must be passionate about the strategic development and management of infrastructure across all sectors: Transportation, Water, Buildings, Energy and Environment. Interns work on projects for public and private sector clients across a range of topics, including funding and finance, organizational design, alternative delivery, economic analysis, research and innovation, data analysis, financial modeling, policy development, asset management, and more. The position offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will work directly with industry thought leaders to identify and apply evolving requirements and innovative practices to large, highly visible projects across the United States.

We offer our clients a unique combination of infrastructure expertise and management consulting leadership to help them determine how best to develop assets and cost-effectively deliver services.

The Associate Program’s mission is to expose early career professionals to projects in all practices and services across Advisory, investing in their development as well-rounded management consultants and ultimately placing them in the service best suited for them. This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 18th, 202

Your ImpactAnalyzing needs and opportunitiesResearching and reporting on industry trendsEvaluating alternatives and prioritiesDeveloping the business case for infrastructure investmentsWriting reports and grant applicationsSupporting client meetings and workshopsAnalyzing project and program funding and financing optionsReviewing and interpreting legislation and guidancePerforming quantitative analyses and data analyticsDeveloping financial modelsProviding strategic support in all phases of infrastructures planning and project developmentComplete training on assigned tasks.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.

Who You AreRequired QualificationsActively enrolled in an accredited Civil, Environmental Engineering, Business, Urban or Transportation Planning, Computer/Data Science, Public Policy, Environmental Science or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 202Must be 18 or older. Demonstrated interest in Management Consultancy or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.

Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects. Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
