Job Description

West Monroe is currently seeking a Manager to join our Operations Excellence practice within our Enterprise Strategy & Execution (ES&E) discipline. This person will bring expertise supporting clients with Enterprise Software, Cloud, and Systems Integrator Advisory – this includes, but is not limited to technology transformation strategy, platform selection, software and systems integrator sourcing strategy, RFx development, evaluation and selection, contract negotiations, and program assurance. ES&E consultants deliver comprehensive solutions that transform operations through technology strategy development, strategic sourcing, effective transformation management, and optimizing people, process, and technology.

Candidates should also have experience in helping to develop and/or enhance supporting methodologies and tools, as well as integrating these with other West Monroe consulting solutions (e. g. , technology and vertical practices). What you’ll do: Develop enterprise software platform, cloud migration, and system integrator partner strategies and business cases.

Support the development of clients’ scope, sourcing strategy, and commercial objectives for enterprise software-centric transformation programs. Lead the strategic sourcing lifecycle to scope, select, and negotiate enterprise software, hyperscaler, and systems integrators for large transformation projects.

Serve as a delivery leader on engagements of high complexity and scale, communicating with client sponsors directly without oversight, and exemplifying engagement management, client relationship, client satisfaction, risk management, and delivery team management skills. Oversee engagement scope, budget, deliverables, profitability, work management and reporting, change management, vendor management, and team development. Lead the development of deliverables by hands-on deliverable planning, providing direct input into deliverable structure, format and content, and conducting end-to-end reviews.

Manage the development of financial models, define data requirements, identify assumptions, model cost-benefit analysis, and structure storyboards to communicate insights and results of analysis. Provide program and quality assurance and manage vendor performance. Achieve business development goals primarily through building networks with internal partners, educating channel partners on ES&E offerings, farming opportunities, and scoping projects/proposals.

Originate and create methodologies, project assets and tools, and ensure maintenance of those assets. Support direction and strategy for functional, industry, or technology methodologies, quality assurance, and toolsets used within the practice.

Author white papers and deliver presentations (internal and external) on innovations, best practices, and methodologies. Gain visibility and build West Monroe brand through interviews, writing articles, and/or providing quotes for trade journals. Model and mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants day-to-day in personifying West Monroe values with clients, on project teams, and within individual relationships.

Career Advisor for at least one Consultant – actively participating in the performance expectation and management process. Actively engage in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting campus and experienced new hire consultants. What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

5-8 years of experience providing enterprise technology transformation and/or systems integrator sourcing advisory experience and at least 2-years in a business or technology consulting environment. People management experience, and a passion for developing and coaching more junior team members. Expert project manager with extensive experience managing enterprise software, cloud and systems integrator sourcing engagements including developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, budget management, issue and risk management, and presenting deliverables.

Deep knowledge of software implementation processes including both configuration and development activities typical of large-scale complex implementations. Business development experience including farming leads and assisting in managing the sales process – pursuit strategy, client development cycle and tools, proposal development, fee and profitability planning, and contract management. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create impactful and concise executive stakeholder-ready deliverables, and polished client-facing oral communication skills.
