Overview /Objective

Elevate your career as a Manager of Marketing Data Science within the NFL’s Data & Analytics team, a role based in the New York City corporate HQ. This critical position spearheads our Fan 1:1 initiative, utilizing fan data and data science techniques to revolutionize marketing strategies and boost fan engagement. You will collaborate with a highly dynamic and cross-functional team, acting as both a strategist and a catalyst for data-driven innovation. You will be building data driven solutions that refine how we connect with fans, turning every interaction into a personalized fan experience. Responsibilities

  • Forge strong analytics partnerships across marketing, technology, BI, data engineering, and external partners, serving as an internal consultant to deliver impactful analytical solutions that drive marketing success.
  • Formulate key marketing questions and hypotheses, translating them into data-driven investigations and experiments that yield measurable business improvements.
  • Apply sophisticated data science techniques like segmentation, predictive analytics, and journey mapping to enhance understanding of fan behaviors.
  • Convert complex analytical findings into targeted audience segments and deploy actionable marketing strategies that increase fan engagement and loyalty.
  • Execute across the lifecycle of analytic products from inception to deployment, ensuring each stage meets top-tier analytical standards and contributes to business objectives.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses about fan behavior and optimize marketing responses effectively.
  • Continually enhance the effectiveness of analytic tools and strategies in response to campaign feedback and market shifts, resulting in refined marketing tactics and improved ROI.
  • Define and manage KPIs for customer engagement, working with BI COE to expand access to vital insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of data integrity and quality across all marketing data initiatives by partnering with quality assurance and technology teams, ensuring accurate and reliable data underpins all marketing decisions.
  • Cultivate a culture of agility and collaboration within the team, enhancing productivity and innovation through tools like Jira, leading to faster implementation of new ideas and solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven Impact: Demonstrable track record of leveraging data-driven insights to drive business results and marketing effectiveness.
  • Customer Insight Expertise: Proven ability in extracting deep customer insights and strategically applying these to drive successful, engaging marketing campaigns.
  • Advanced Analytics Experience: Minimum of 5 years in customer data analytics, adept in utilizing detailed customer transaction data to enhance performance marketing strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills complemented by a keen attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, statistical testing, and machine learning frameworks essential.
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Data Management Skills: Solid understanding of data management principles, including identity and marketing consent protocols.
  • Cloud Technology Familiarity: Hands-on experience with AWS tools like Redshift, Athena, Cloud9 and CodeCommit. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MarTech Proficiency: Familiarity with MarTech platforms, especially Adobe Experience Platform, with experience in executing omnichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Data Privacy Acumen: Experience handling sensitive data, with a thorough understanding of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) management, privacy, and consent issues.

Salary / Pay Range
