Given the scale of this opportunity, the Retail business has stood up a Retail GenAI business function to coordinate GenAI efforts to maximize the value of our investments, support execution to drive efficient delivery of capabilities, and partner on change management efforts to drive engagement and adoption across the business. This role will report to the Director of Retail GenAI and will be a part of Charles Schwab’s Retail Strategy team which is the internal management consulting group for the Retail business. The Retail business is Schwab’s primary business unit with 13,000 employees worldwide.
Our team of roughly 15 professionals serves as a trusted adviser to the head of the Retail business and the Retail Leadership Team and works on strategic and operational issues at the top of senior management’s agenda. Job summary:We are seeking a Manager for the Retail GenAI business function.
As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to:Set Retail GenAI strategy & vision:Conduct market & strategic analyses to identify opportunities for GenAI product developmentDefine business goals and partner with product owners to translate into a clear vision for product developmentSet the strategic priorities and roadmap for product development and ensure cross-firm alignmentObtain funding and resources needed to execute on strategic prioritiesSupport Retail GenAI initiative execution:Define the project structure and stand-up the implementation programLead execution on non-technical workstreams (e. g. , marketing & education, legal & compliance, field enablement)Support product and technical execution partners in strategic decision making (e.

g. , calculating how much an initiative might costStorytelling and executive communication:You can communicate a strategy through executive-level PowerPoint materials, tailoring your message to the audience and telling a compelling story to drive to our desired outcomesSequencing work into a series of steps:You can identify where we are on a body of work, our desired destination, and the steps or actions to take to reach that destinationPlanning and executing large & complex projects:You can identify a set of workstreams and deliverables necessary to execute on an overall objective; you can organize these workstreams into an overall program structure with associated timelines, stakeholders, and governance; and you can facilitate the execution of workstreams by working with partners to define the client experience, detail key requirements, and hand the requirements off to the relevant technology domains to executeAttention to detail: You have a strong system for tracking next steps / open questions to ensure that nothing (even less urgent items) falls through the cracks.
