The Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Data Quality and Governance Organization at S&P Global Market Intelligence. A function that partners across the Market Intelligence to establish quality practices, transform process design, client journey as well as spread the improvement culture. Our Customer needs and business outcomes is at the center of what we do.
The Impact:
The role include a blend of strategic thinking and execution paired with opportunity to drive cross functional improvements and sharing/deployment of best practices across data sets. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining frameworks which helps to deliver high standards of data integrity and accuracy. The primary focus is on ensuring that data is reliable, complete, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s data governance policies.
Responsibilities:

keen eye for identifying data quality problems, trends and creating solutions within the dataset managed.

Participate in and influence the development of a data quality roadmap that optimizes people, processes, and technology to raise our data quality maturity level .

Track market trends and emerging practices to remain ahead of the curve within Data Quality & adjacent spaces (e.g. digital transformation, culture changes and quality practices).

Collaborate with other departments, divisions, or projects to achieve shared goals. The candidate will also focus on written and customer-facing deliverables to support Data & Analytics Leaders who face the challenges of improving/establishing Data Quality initiatives.

Communicate data quality metrics and measurements effectively to stakeholders and demonstrate the value and impact of data.
Business Skill and Knowledge:
-
Expert in Data Quality concepts and understands its application across people, processes, and technologies. Must have experience of developing & implementing Data Quality frameworks in complex interconnected datasets.

Balanced understanding key statistical concepts vital for Data quality framework along with usage of tech skills (GenAI/LLMs, SQL, Python, RPA etc.) to deliver results efficiently.

Understand the basics of general process review practices, tools, techniques, concepts and trends in financial services industry. Previous experience of financial platforms such as CapitalIQ, Pitchbook, Bloomberg etc. is an added advantage.

Experience of creating data models to simulate client usage with purpose of capturing data anomalies before client does.

Experience of using Data quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Ataccama etc.

Excellent verbal and communication skills. Ability to create meaningful reports & drive discussions with senior stakeholders independently.
Experience and Qualification:
-
8+ years of work experience of which atleast 5 years of working experience in content organization in Data & Analytics deliverables.

Exposure of working in two or more functions within Data organization which include Operations, Data Management and Data Quality is highly preferable

Understand the bigger picture and the full lifecycle of data where considerations are made in governance, quality, integration, reusability, and management.

Full MBA or bachelor’s degree from recognized university.

Six Sigma, Data Analytics certifications are added advantage.
