This individual contributor role will work as part of a team in support of the Bank’s US management reporting platform. Taking direction from the Director in US Financial Data Management you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Bank’s financial data, working with LOB Finance and business partners to translate requirements into technology based solutions.
The Financial Data Management Group (FDM) ensures the integrity of the BMO Financial Corp (BFC) financial, management and regulatory data. The FDM group consolidates, transforms and standardizes data from the book of record transaction systems to provide holistic view of BFC management reporting balances and attributes.
Key Accountabilities
- On a monthly basis, perform necessary system updates and conduct validations of management reporting data to ensure the accurate and timely release of line of business financials.
- Provide on-going support and analysis of management reporting results, including Funds Transfer Pricing, line of business balance sheet and P&L models, working internally with others in US FDM, as well as Line of Business Finance and US Corporate Treasury.
- Implement strategic initiatives (i.e. new product offerings, new source systems, acquisitions, and divestitures) into the US FDM platform.
- Provide support to Enterprise projects and manage operational changes (e.g. supporting Technology with validation and testing of systems)
- Perform ongoing data validations of management reporting outputs, identifying and resolving issues and providing recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
- Ability to engage with multiple business and technology stakeholders, synthesize information, document and manage issues and risks proactively
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in financial services industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience in accounting processes, financial statement analysis, including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase, SQL query, MS Excel and MS Access
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
