Role Description
We are seeking an inquisitive and analytical thinker who is passionate about customer ‘party’ data to join our long lived Master & Reference Data Management (M&RDM) team as a ‘Master Data Analyst’. You will be a data professional with a technical and commercial mindset, as well as an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the party data we master on our commercial clients and partners . Your work will be critical in maintaining the integrity of our data and supporting data-driven decision-making. Your role and skills will be a key to our Transformation journey which puts digital, data and the customer at the heart of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being part of an agile delivery team focused on developing our operational MDM capability
- Conduct data quality assessments and profiling to identify data anomalies
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and enforce data quality standards
- Work in conjunction with our data governance team to establish a data ownership framework for party data and identify and escalate data-related issues and conflicts
- Consult with data developers on data integration patterns with legacy and new technology
- Review and enhance data matching rules which enables the onboarding and updates to commercial party data through a probabilistic matching into our IBM Master Data Management system
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data developers, business analysts, and IT teams to address data quality issues and improve data management processes
- Communicate data-related findings and insights to stakeholders
- Support the roadmap of our Single view of Customer including data management best practise and quality frameworks
About You
Experience & Skills:
- Degree in numerate field e.g. Maths, Data/Computer science
- Proven experience in data analysis, data quality and data management
- Familiar with data management best practise e.g. DAMA framework
- Experience of working with b2b customer data including matching and understanding and improving data quality
- Not essential but any exposure to working with operational MDM in a large global corporation.
- Understanding of external data enrichment for B2B market working with industry codes and building/maintaining corporate hierarchies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid data manipulation skills e.g. SQL
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with change and working in agile
