Master Data Manager
Job Description
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Type of Contract: Fixed-term 6-month contract, starting in January 2025.
As DB’s Master Data Manager, you’ll responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation’s master data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the company’s data assets and supporting business operations and decision-making processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate across departments (D&T, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing) to align data processes with business objectives.
- Develop and enforce Master Data Management (MDM) policies, procedures, and governance frameworks following global standards.
- Lead and support teams, including data administrators and vendors, to ensure data quality and compliance with governance standards.
- Drive data quality improvement projects, monitor KPIs, and report metrics and initiatives to senior leadership.
- Provide training and promote best practices in data governance, fostering continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Your background and experience:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and integration roles.
- Strong understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact.
- Strong knowledge of MDM, data governance, data quality, and data integration tools and technologies.
- Proven experience in defining and leading projects and mobilising teams.
- Ability to influence others to modify behaviours to generate support on the master data agenda.
- Demonstrated experience with governing, implementing and driving data management activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Background in FMCG industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of industry trends and demonstrated commitment to stay up to date on new technologies
- Must have full-time work eligibility in NZ
