Master Data Specialist, Procurement

Corbion’s Master Data Analyst is accountable for ensuring the procurement master data is set up in alignment with a best in class governance process. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all data setup for vendors, contracts and other procurement data.  If you have the ability to envision the linkage of suppliers/items across the various procurement data structures, this might be the right role for you.  This position reports to the Global Procurement Manager, Data and Process with a dotted line into the Global Procurement Master Data Steward. 

Responsibilities:

• Create/maintain all procurement related data for North America in SAP.
• Validate and update commodity contract balances between suppliers and SAP.
• Ensure linkage of vendor master partners with the procurement structures while keeping alignment with customer master data to ensure proper configuration for reporting.
• Enrich the current procurement master data set up for North America in the SAP including business partners, purchase contracts, info records, item records and allocations.
• Data mining exercises to identify quality issues, root causes, and resolution based on best practices.
• Audit data to identify areas that require additional focus.
• Coordinate with the Category Managers to ensure the system aligns with their executed strategies.

• Ensure proper control and change management for North America category managers.
• Establish key metrics, report creation, and complex data extractions.
• Establish and enforce data policies and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• 1+ years of SAP master data experience preferred.
• Ability to be a strong advocate for process and technology improvement and influence decision makers.
• Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from internal partners at various levels.
• Experience balancing priorities as an individual contributor on cross-functional teams while also maintaining responsibilities of organizing and assisting the team to maximize contributions.
