Purpose of the job 

Responsible for managing, executing and monitoring transactional Master data maintenance requests to support Business Groups and Corporate Functions in realizing their business objectives through fact based culture. This role is also pivotal in cultivating improvements in DSM wide master data processes and solutions, continuous drive for highest quality, completeness and consistency of the master data, which resides in various applications. This role directly reports into GbS Service Management Business Services Manager, driving and influencing the operational master data delivery in landscape of DSM.

 

Job Context 

Master Data and Master Data Quality have a high impact on the performance of operational business processes, the quality of information and on overall decision making. High master data quality level contributes towards reduction of costs through efficiency improvements in business processes, projects, data processing and information generation. Having high quality master data in timely manner is the pre-requisite for optimal functioning of business processes, and operational and management reporting.

Masterdata Management Operations unit is accountable for execution of regular maintenance requests for Customers, Suppliers, Materials, Products and Finance objects, adhering to established standards, governance, measures to guarantee masterdata consistency and integrity. This work is carried out in a variety of platforms available within DSM organization.

In addition, MDM Operations Expert plays a critical role in global integrations and internal improvement projects.

MDM Operations Experts deal with many stakeholders, such as business representatives, functional process experts, project managers, scrum masters etc. in Business Groups, corporate units and IT organization. Next to those, there is a strong link to the Data Analytics organization, to secure applications of best practices and DSM global data standards, as well as to leverage available modern technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver masterdata operational support for various DSM Health, Nutrition and Care business, in several SAP back-ends
  • Ensure requests are processed within SLA
  • Create synergy where opportunities are identified
  • Report master data quality problems that affect data quality (data quality reports).
  • Perform bulk updates for Customers, Suppliers, Materials, Products and Finance elements

You Bring

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in BA/BE (or similar) with 6 – 8 years of Experience
  • Experience in data quality maintenance processes
  • Sound operational affinity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerBI
  • Master data management skills
  • Ability to work with people at multiple levels within the organization in many geographies and cultures
  • Capable to maintain overview on complex organizational structures, business processes and interdependencies.
