Engage and influence senior leaders across a matrixed organization. Build strong governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps. Partner with global business areas, shared services, capability centers, and cross-functional teams. Drive change management, communication, and adoption strategies across impacted teams.
Develop and deliver executive-level insights, updates, and strategic recommendations. Foster continuous improvement, value realization, and operational excellence in all initiatives. Role 1: Managing Director – Strategy & Demand LeadPrimary Focus: Demand intake, prioritization, portfolio governance, and strategic orchestration.
Role SummaryThe Managing Director, Strategy & Demand Lead Global Capabilities Strategy is responsible for driving strategic transformation initiatives by orchestrating and aligning cross-functional programs, managing demand intake and prioritization, and ensuring successful execution of the FedEx GCS portfolio. This role acts as the central point for connecting the dots across functions, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and delivering measurable value through robust governance, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage demand intake, prioritization, and assessment aligned to enterprise strategy. Integrate and align transformation projects, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for value realization. Orchestrate cross-functional teams and facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Establish and maintain governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards to monitor progress and drive accountability. Prepare executive-level reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making. Champion continuous improvement and strategic value realization.
Role 2: Managing Director – Transition LeadPrimary Focus: Executing and managing transitions of work into and out of Global Capability Center (GCC) sites. Role SummaryThe Managing Director, Transition Lead Global Capabilities Strategy is responsible for executing, project managing, and ensuring smooth transition of work into and out of GCC sites. The Transition Lead will work at the intersection of the Function, Sending Site, and Receiving Site and ensure process, technology, site, and people readiness.
The Transition Lead is responsible for ensuring transitions happen on time, on budget, and team members are transitioned appropriately, in coordination with local HR, Change, and Global HR and Readiness. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate end-to-end transition activities for GCC locations. Leverage and maintain standard transition methodology including updates with relevant learnings from each transition effortPartner with the Strategy team on demand intake and prioritization of transition efforts.
