Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Corporate Audit is currently seeking a Mid-Level Data Analytics Professional to join our fully virtual team.

In this role you will be a member of Boeing’s Corporate Audit team, an international team covering a wide range and scope of audit activities. As a Mid-Level Data Analytics Professional, you will assist Corporate Audit in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Boeing’s governance, risk management and internal control environment by providing data and automation support to perform independent evaluations of the adequacy and effectiveness of Boeing’s production, finance, operations, compliance and technology functions.

You will provide data and automation support for a variety of complex audits. In addition, under the guidance of the Data Analytics Senior Manager, you will help to execute the analytics roadmap for audit, which includes improving audit department efficiency, leveraging tools like Tableau, R, and Python.

A successful candidate will have a broad analytics background to focus on supporting internal audits and consult on special projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the identification, development, and automation of risk assessment metrics to support the annual audit plan
  • Identifying risk and achieving management objectives across a variety of processes/functions
  • Determining effective and efficient risk mitigation practices
  • Identifying existing data sources and work with data owners to extract data and/or connect automation tools to the data source to support risk assessment and engagement activities
  • Developing key risk and performance indicators to support the scoping of individual audit engagements
  • Engaging with the audit teams to develop automated control testing dashboards to support audit testing and conclusions
  • Nurturing and maintaining key business relationships
  • Proactively identifying themes, trends, and emerging risks for the company
  • Supporting additional audit initiatives related to audit operations and reporting

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics and data visualization
  • 1+ years of experience with analytical tools including: Tableau, SQL, R, and Python
  • Experience with test development, sampling, statistics, and evidence gathering
  • Experience communicating with all levels of management
  • Experience in business analysis, data warehousing, statistical data mining, and/or data science
  • Experience creating and interpreting data flow diagrams and/or technical specification documents

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree in data or computer science
  • Experience in the application of data analytics on audit testing
  • Experience using Dataiku and/or Alteryx
  • Experience in applying Internal Auditing principles, methodology and standards in a risk-based environment across a variety of audit areas at varying degrees of complexity including experience in IT, Cybersecurity, compliance, operations and finance
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
  • Strong technical, analytical and decision-making skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Self-motivated. Should be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport and interact with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
