Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Mid-to-Senior Level Data Engineer to build both robust and scalable data processes. This role involves ensuring the right data is generated from our applications and sourced at the right velocity, depth and breadth to ensure complete coverage and reuse. The successful candidate will also be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data pipelines to support our business operations and integrate the data from newly acquired companies. This can be a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work with a team across different time zones from around the world or you can work from one of our QIMA offices around the world.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, programming or related fields.
  • Strong experience with AWS and Azure clouds.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, data structures and algorithms.
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Proven experience with data warehousing tools, especially Snowflake.
  • Experience with modern data stack ETL / ELT tools including Airbyte, Dagster, and DBT.
  • Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
  • Experience with Oracle databases is a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and convert them into actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.         

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced culture with multiple priorities and deadlines.
