Job Description
We are looking for a Middle/Senior Data Engineer with Java background to join the project for a Top-5 US retail broker (by the number of users). The project is devoted to trading experience, finance reports, and risk management.
You will join cross-functional team that excels in getting features done from zero to production.
Key responsibilities:
- contribute to the development of a cross-functional data storage platform.
- establish a data infrastructure strategy to capture and harness new data assets for the new products and technology practices.
- collaborate with decision-makers, project managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
- build data pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Presto, and more.
- connect new data sources.
- maintain data infrastructure (resource management, upgrades).
- monitor data pipelines and improve their performance.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience with Java.
- proven experience in writing SQL on analytics (OLAP) and transactional (OLTP) databases.
- proven experience with technologies Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Presto.
- familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Docker, and Kubernetes.
- familiarity with cloud providers (preferably AWS).
- substantial communication and teamwork skills.
- upper-intermediate English.
